Head heavy spins,
No familiar sight, I feel
Fear. Bitter salt.
Oh swelling monster.
Stop.
Thumping, heavy, pushing
Air.
Flashes, children playing walking firm
Green, shoes running running running
Solid ground, umber, red familiar
I see tea-cookies, stomach soft
I hide.
Silver light blinding
I gasp. Air.
Air plenty, Sun warm breeze
I see white beard, soft lifts
We laugh.
Yellow light soft Green air
Hills, train, stretches of sand,
His lips soft, warm
I gasp. Air.
Birdie pink, soft blue sky
Fluttering butterflies,
Colors many caressing silky
A hand holds me. I breathe and fly
I see White.
I don’t gasp.
Puffed. I was afloat.
I hear them say, “She drowned yesterday”.
